David Jensz
David Jensz is an innovative contemporary sculptor whose practice spans studio-based works and public art commissions. David's works are conceptually exploratory and finely crafted. His practice is informed by physics and contemporary theories of space and time to investigate the nature of being. David is a freelance artist who works from his purpose built studio at Murrumbateman, ACT. David has had over 28 solo exhibitions in Australia, America and Thailand, including McClelland Gallery, 2016 and O.K.Harris Gallery, New York (2010, 2004, 2000,1997). He has been selected for numerous survey exhibitions including: McClelland Sculpture Prize (2012, 2003) Helen Lempriere Sculpture Award (2005, 2006) National Sculpture Prize, NGA, (2001, 2003, 2005). Grants: Asialink Scholarship Thailand (1994) Australia Council New York Studio (1995) and Tokyo Studio (2000). Most recently David represented the ACT as the major artist within Art gallery of Ballart for BOAA- Beinnale of Australia Art
